This privacy policy describes how I, Patrick Watson, use, handle and protect any information that you provide through this site. I can be contacted for questions about this privacy policy at patrickwatsonastrologer@gmail.com
Summary:
I use a combination of well-known and/or trusted third party services on this website to make it easier for you and for myself, so you can enjoy and comment on blog articles and informational pages, seamlessly and securely schedule appointments, complete payments, receive and review products, services and recordings and support my work and livelihood. I care about your privacy, so I personally use any sensitive information as sparingly as possible and with your consent as much as possible. I also employ several security measures to minimize the risk of exposure of your personal information. Upon request, I can delete any and all records to whatever extent is possible to protect your privacy.
Interacting With This Site
When You Comment:
If you leave a comment on this site, WordPress collects the data shown in the comments form, as well as your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. You may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely by WordPress. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Gravatar Privacy Policy
Your comments are also checked through the automated spam detection service Akismet which collects information about you. The information Akismet collects typically includes your IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by you such as your name, username, email address, and the comment itself).
Akismet Privacy Policy
While I aspire to allow freedom of expression in my comments section, even those which are harshly critical or negative of my posts, I do not guarantee that I will approve your comment, especially if it is unduly abusive and/or threatening towards other readers especially on the basis of race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, nationality, religion, etc.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If You Register On My Website:
If you register on my website, WordPress also stores the personal information you provide in your user profile. You can see, edit, or delete your personal information at any time (except you cannot change your username). I can also see and edit that information. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
What Rights You Have Over Your Data:
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data WordPress holds about you, including any data you have provided to my site. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes, if any.
Embedded Content:
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
