I've been sitting on the fence about getting an astrological consultation for a while, until I discovered Patrick and Big Fat Astro. I knew that if I was ever going to get a reading it had to be with an astrologer that practiced and worked with the Hellenistic techniques - the most accurate techniques I believe are around today in the astrological world -. Needless to say, Patrick is a true pro at it. He's thorough in his explanations, knowledgeble and funny at the same time, and he doesn't leave any stone unturned when you ask specific questions. I've appreciated his bluntness and honesty regarding unfavorable placements, his insight into the areas of life in which they fall and his imput on the brighter side of my chart. Gotta appreciate an astrologer that doesn't sugarcoat things and analizes everything to the minor detail. Overall, I couldn't have been more satisfied than this. I definitely look forward to further consultations as I dig deeper into my astrological studies. (He was also super nice to me, a non english speaker. So that's a plus.)read more

I stumbled on one of Patrick Watson’s videos about a year ago, and even though astrology is one of my long-running hobbies, I don't usually watch astrology videos. But with a name like bigfatastro, I just had to check it out. So I watched the first video...and that was it! I thought, finally an astrologer with a practical approach, who really knows their stuff, and he has a personality too! I was hooked - watched the videos, read the blog; all of which I found all to be super interesting and in my opinion pretty funny. I soaked up all the info that he had to offer, and as I started learning more about the techniques he uses, I thought more about possibly getting a reading. I was at first a little nervous to do so, since this is not something I do often, and I didn’t really know what to expect, but I found that... Patrick Watson is exceptional! I walked away from our session with a better sense of who I am as well as my direction in life. He answered all my questions with the utmost kindness and respect, and went above and beyond in addressing my concerns in the most helpful way. He expresses a deep knowledge and understanding not only of the field of astrology, and a person’s chart, but the person themselves. It is rare in life to meet someone with a keen intellect, sensitive interpersonal communication, a wellspring of ever-expanding knowledge, and a hilarious sense of humor. When this person is an astrologer, schooled by skilled astrologers such as Chris Brennan and Nick Dagan Best, I feel very fortunate to have happened upon him. I’ve been attracted to astrology for about 30 years, mostly via friends in the field. I had a reading yesterday with Patrick, and it was one of the most helpful, thorough and on-target readings of my life. I’ve only recently found out about zodiacal releasing, a practice that comes from traditional astrology, which assists the native in understanding her past life chapters as well as the upcoming one(s). Patrick is not just skilled at chart interpretation; he thinks like a scientist, continually working out techniques that emerged from recent translations, which, in my opinion, always contain an interpretive dimension, particularly 2,000 years beyond the writing of the text and the culture within which the text was produced.
