Jupiter in Capricorn

Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system, whose gravity is so powerful it protects Earth and the inner solar system from the threat of incoming comets and asteroids. Jupiter’s cycles are regular, balanced and stable, its phases with the Sun span in even thirds around the sky, evoking the strength and stability of the triangle. Accordingly, Jupiter signifies benevolence, expansiveness, wealth, opportunity, stability, trust, faith, confirmation, friendship, gifts, talent, honors and wisdom. The condition of Jupiter at the time we were born says something about the quality of the year that we come from, where there is greatest excess and abundance, how we do the most good and how we are most blessed and honored.

Jupiter in Capricorn is a cardinal earth sign and takes on the qualities of its ruler, Saturn. This is someone for whom opportunity and abundance paradoxically lies in caution, the status quo or in boring or depressing but necessary issues. It rewards those who kiss the ring and use isolation and loss to their advantage. There can be a philosophical slant towards pessimism or a conservatism of sorts, some way that you typify an old guard or old school way of doing things. There can also be an exaggerated sense of these instincts to the point where they may stand in the way of improvements or progress unnecessarily. While their concern with the bottom line can seem cruel and brutal, it ultimately comes from a place of goodwill, in their eyes at least. These are people who have reason to be happy and jovial about typically bleak or sad things.

This is especially true if you were born with Sagittarius, Capricorn or Pisces rising. However, this can also describe others in your life who are relevant to the houses where Jupiter, Sagittarius and Pisces are placed. Whether you experience the better or worse significations of this position depends on whether you were born during the day or at night, and the kind of aspects it makes with the other planets.

    1. I get it. It makes perfect sense. It’s all about if you do good, goods things will happen. If you do not do good, sin is crouching at your door, As said in the bible. Keep the Christ consciousness.

    2. This is one of the worst placements one can have. It sucks, especially if you’re a progressive/communist/anarchist and the only way for you to succeed is to do everything you are ethically against. So maybe we’re here to tear down the system?

      1. Hi Jools. It is interesting you mentioned that. I have Jupiter in Capricorn square Saturn in Aries lol. That makes me wanna go against the system and do things against the status quo. I always try the unconventional way and the less profitable way because I believe I have to do what feels right to me and I don’t wanna harm people only to achieve my goals. I resonated a lot with what you said. I have a lot of difficulties in my career life because I chose to do something that doesnt give much money and plus isnt much accepted by society lol.
