Jupiter in Pisces

Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system, whose gravity is so powerful it protects Earth and the inner solar system from the threat of incoming comets and asteroids. Jupiter’s cycles are regular, balanced and stable, its phases with the Sun span in even thirds around the sky, evoking the strength and stability of the triangle. Accordingly, Jupiter signifies benevolence, expansiveness, wealth, opportunity, stability, trust, faith, confirmation, friendship, gifts, talent, honors and wisdom. The condition of Jupiter at the time we were born says something about the quality of the year that we come from, where there is greatest excess and abundance, how we do the most good and how we are most blessed and honored.

Jupiter in Pisces is in a mutable water sign. In this sign Jupiter is in its own element, so it is one of the signs where Jupiter is most naturally itself. This is someone for whom opportunity and abundance lies in dreams, visions, compassion, spirituality and mysticism – through witnessing the suffering of others, the contemplation of prayer and meditation, the transcendent experience of art, music, myth and fantasy, the sublimation of oneself in service of greater causes and ideals. Their vision of kindness tends to be less bounded, extending not just to all people but to other animals and nature itself. Their sense of a divinely ordained destiny and purpose can lead to delusions or a messiah complex. There may be a tendency to make everything a grand affair, and to gloss over details and logistics.

This is especially true if you were born with Sagittarius or Pisces rising. However, this can also describe others in your life who are relevant to the houses where Sagittarius and Pisces are placed. Whether you experience the better or worse significations of this position depends on whether you were born during the day or at night, and the kind of aspects it makes with the other planets.

  1. Great piece! Born during the day with Jupiter in Pieces – its my most dignified planet, but conjunct mars (as well as MC). Jupiter also makes a trine with venus in scorpio and square to Saturn in sag. Would you say Jupiter being in domicile is a mitigating factor here?
