Yes, but the Sun’s position is measured from its center. There seems to be a strong preference in this idea that the Sun take on qualities from the next sign, when it also follows from this logic that a newly ingressed Sun would still have qualities from the previous sign and I think people would be less likely to make that claim. If we looked at solar ingresses this way, all Aries ingress charts were cast several hours too early.
